I added four LEDs in the square holes at the top of the climate control and wired them individually to the existing lights. To anchor them, use a hot soldering iron to melt the LED wire into the plastic.

I originally tried to do all four LEDs in series, but after asking my EE uncle why it didn't work, I got a napkin lesson on forward voltage and LEDs. I knew I should have paid better attention in my E&M class.
