Start by removing the shocks lower nut and sliding it off the axle. Then loosen the lug nuts. Jack the truck up as high as your (6-ton) stands (4" lift kit) will allow and put one under each far end of the frame under the rear bumper I also put two more before the leafs under the doors. Next jack the diff up from the center evenly and put a small (3-ton) stand under both sides of the axle tubes close to the backing plates of the drums. Pull the wheels off both sides and remove the u-bolts and spring plates one side first till finished then do the other side.Don't worry because you have the diff supported. Do one side at a time!!!
**I already finished and took these pictures afterwards as you can see because the two small lower overload leafs are already removed and the bolt going through the leafs looks longer without them**
