tried gringing off the perches in order to relocate them but got uncomfortable when I got to this and still couldn't get them off. So I just re-welded it and decided to use the shims to get the pinion angle right. Maybe I'm a retard and wasn't doing it right, but I feel like I had already gone too far, so I just stopped here.
