The 2003 Mercury Marauder revived the name as a blacked-out performance version of the Grand Marquis, launched alongside the Panther platform's 2003 overhaul with its new hydroformed frame and rack-and-pinion steering. Power came from a 302-horsepower 4.6L DOHC 32-valve V8 with dual exhaust.
