The 1989 Nissan 300ZX was the final year of the Z31 generation before the redesigned Z32 arrived for 1990. It carried the 3.0L VG-series V6 in naturally aspirated VG30E form at 165 net horsepower and turbocharged VG30ET form at 205 net horsepower, with a five-speed manual or four-speed automatic. Two-seat hatchback and 2+2 body styles were offered.
