1975 Toyota Land Cruiser Specs & Photos
The 1975 Toyota Land Cruiser received its largest US drivetrain change since the 40-series debut: the 4.2-liter 2F inline-six replaced the 3.9-liter F, and a four-speed manual replaced the three-speed. The 2F retained the pushrod, cast-iron layout while adding displacement to preserve torque under tightening emissions controls. Both the FJ40 and the FJ55 wagon adopted the new engine and gearbox, keeping part-time four-wheel drive and the two-speed transfer case.
