The story

Bought this truck for $2500 on 10/24/13 who had it for about 10 years. Needed something to replace my previous 96 Bronco as a daily driver. It originally had 227k miles but for the price and how desperate I was for a new truck I couldn't resist. Even with this many miles its still had plenty of power. It needed plenty of work but nothing I cant handle and nothing serious. it might not be my favorite truck but I still like it a lot. Planned on keeping it mostly stock. i was hoping to keep it a mostly stock truck which lasted about 2 years.

Eventually i decided to get an aftermarket valvebody for the transmission but unfortunately i was given an incorrect one and wrong gaskets. The tranny was crippled with very weak reverse so i started planning an engine and tranny rebuild. what started as a mild engine rebuild turned into a stroked and bored high power engien build. about a year later the engine finally started showing extreme wear with low oil pressure and power and despite the tranny still being crippled it was working. the engine build is done but the original tranny is still kicking

while i was gathering parts for the engine rebuild, i realized that the stock axle was no longer gonna handle the power. the axle got damaged at one point so i started building an axle that can handle plenty of power. i had an idea of taking a semi-floating axle from a F250, replace the axleshafts with custom ones build for 5x5.5 pattern and a disk brake conversion. i found a semi-floating 10.25 Sterling axle which should be loads stronger than the original 8.8 axle. i ended up regearing the axle to 4.10 gears with a junkyard Trac-Lok limited slip differential. due to the semi-floating 10.25 axle being very uncommon, there are no aftermarket differentials available so the best i can do is a factory style Trac-Lok

after finding a group to start offroading again, i decided that i would go ahead and have the truck build more for offroading. i found someone selling a cheap used 6" lift which i used and modified to install a 5.5 inch long travel link in the front. i added a TrueTrac limited slip in the front. the rear i lifted with F250 leaf springs adding 3" of lift and added a 3" lift block with massive u-bolts to effectively make a 6" lift. — Kingfish999
