kimg0589.jpg some of my pictures must have got deleted. this is how the winch finally looks using the original bumper.

i no longer have the bumper mounted in the normal way. i had to trim the bottom of the bumper to clear the winch mounting plate and there was no easy way to mount the bumper mounting tabs anymore. i also wanted the bumper to be relativity quick release so i can access the winch if i needed to on the trail

instead i decided to buy some grade 8 all thread rod and mount it to the winch mounting plate where the fairlead normally goes. using jamnuts and washers, i mounted the bumper to the allthread rod and put the fairlead infront to sandwich the bumper.

this left the bumper kinda floppy and angled downwards. so i welded some nuts ontop of each side frame rail and used some bolts as adjustable stops. this lets me control the angle of the bumper. it helps with the floppiness of the bumper but it still has some. but i can easily remove the bumper by removing 2 easy to access nuts and pull the whole bumper off
