About the 1992-1996 Ford Bronco
The fifth-generation Ford Bronco ran from 1992 through 1996 and was the last full-size Bronco before the nameplate went dormant until 2021. For 1992 Ford restyled the truck with the rounded sheet metal it shared with the redesigned 1992-1996 F-series, the body enthusiasts later nicknamed OBS for Old Body Style after the 1997 trucks arrived. It kept the removable fiberglass rear roof, a drop-down tailgate with roll-down glass, and a 104.7-inch wheelbase carried over from the prior generation. Power came from the 4.9L (300) inline-six and two small-block V8s, the 5.0L (302) and the 5.8L (351 Windsor), all fuel injected; the six was the base engine through 1993, after which the lineup went V8-only. Trim levels were XL, XLT, and the top Eddie Bauer. A standard center high-mounted stop lamp arrived for 1994, rear-wheel anti-lock brakes carried over from the previous generation and were standard throughout, and a driver-side airbag was added for 1994. Ford ended the Bronco after 1996 and replaced it with the four-door Expedition for 1997.

The story
I bought this Baby in Dec 07 from a guy in PA on Ebay. Everyone thoought I was crazy but for some reason I had to buy it. I have always loved Bronco's and my 1979 is in such bad shape I had to have a new one.
When I bought this Baby, I thought, well, I may get a plow truck or it really could be as nice as the guy says!! Either way, I was going to buy it. I could not believe that the auction ended, I won, and I only had to give $1175.00 for it!!! My top bid was $3000.00!!
It cost me $485.00 to have it trucked to my door in MI. Since I got it home I have had to buy a new battery, big deal, put in manual lock-outs as I prefer these, push botton worked fine but just my choice. I just purchased a new complete rear end for it as this one seems a little sloppy, it could go for years but I don't want to take a chance. My nephew is my mechanic and he is going to lift it 2 inches, I am too short to go anymore than that! Then add dual exhaust. I don't want to do a whole lot to it as I love it as it is!! Will be getting a new paint job come spring as the paint is flaking on the hood.
I am hoping to have this Baby for a very long time!!
I joined here so I can see what other Bronco lovers are up to!! Hope I can be included in some of the Bronco outings! Do you all include women?! · Bronco59Baby
