The story

Bought it in 1997, drove it until 2002. Parked it until 01/12, and am now in the process of restoring it enough to start driving again. If it turns out good enough mechanically, I may start the body work before the end of the year.

Just put new rear 3/4 ton springs in. Pulled the heads and did an inspection of the engine. While the heads were off I replaced a few valves, reseated all of them, replaced the ignition coil, rebuilt the carb. flushed the engine, changed the oil.

Got the motor running better than I expected, No smoke, No ticks, No knocks. Hitting on all 8, sounds good.

Still need to go through the brakes, fuel lines, fuel pump. and probably the gas tank (but I'm crossing my fingers on the tank). · cdoutlaw
