The 2002 Chevrolet Blazer continued the second-generation GMT330 compact SUV as an entry-level model below the new mid-size TrailBlazer, which took over the TrailBlazer name on the separate GMT360 platform. The Blazer remained in two-door and four-door bodies with the 4.3L Vortec 4300 L35 V6 at 190 hp and 250 lb-ft, using central sequential fuel injection, paired with a five-speed manual or 4L60-E four-speed automatic. The Xtreme package continued on the two-door.
