Chevrolet Silverado 1500
1999 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 Specs & Photos
The 1999 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 was the first truck to carry Silverado as a model name rather than a trim level, launching the GMT800 generation that replaced the C/K 1500. Engines were new: a 4.3-liter V6 at 200 horsepower, a 4.8-liter Vortec V8 at 255, and a 5.3-liter Vortec V8 at 270. Offered in regular and extended cabs in base, LS, and LT trims, it won Motor Trend's Truck of the Year for 1999.
