The 1979 Ford F-350 closed out the dentside generation ahead of the 1980 redesign. Rectangular headlamps became standard across the line, and the gas lineup topped out with the 460 V8. Regular cab and crew cab bodies carried over, and the dual-rear-wheel dually remained the heavy hauler of the range.
