The 2002 Ford Focus expanded the lineup with the five-door ZX5 hatchback, the ZTW wagon, and the SVT Focus, the first factory performance Focus sold in North America. Ford's Special Vehicle Team tuned the 2.0-liter Zetec to 170 horsepower at 7,000 rpm and 145 lb-ft, paired exclusively with a Getrag six-speed manual. The SVT package added 10.2:1 compression, a dual-stage intake manifold, four-wheel disc brakes, and 17-inch wheels, and it was offered only as a three-door for 2002.
