Ford Torino
1976 Ford Torino Specs & Photos
The 1976 Ford Torino was the final model year for the nameplate, a carryover of the 1975 third-generation design before the line was replaced by the Ford LTD II for 1977. The V8-only engine lineup continued with the 351, 400, and 460 cu in engines, all rated in SAE net horsepower and paired with the Cruise-O-Matic automatic. Body styles were the two-door hardtop, the four-door pillared hardtop, and the station wagon, spanning the Torino, Gran Torino, and Gran Torino Brougham series. The Gran Torino coupe gained wide recognition as the red-and-white car featured in the television series Starsky and Hutch.
The 1976 Ford Torino is part of the Gran Torino generation (1972–1976). See the full Ford Torino 1972–1976 registry →
