Harley-Davidson Super Glide
1996 Harley-Davidson Super Glide Specs & Photos
The 1996 Harley-Davidson Super Glide (FXD) belonged to the Dyna generation and was powered by the 80 cubic inch (1340cc) Evolution V-twin with a 5-speed transmission and belt final drive. The FXD used the Dyna Glide chassis with a rubber-isolated engine mounting and twin rear shocks, serving as the entry model in the Dyna lineup. The base FXD Super Glide had joined the range for 1995, making 1996 an early carryover year before the Twin Cam 88 replaced the Evolution engine for 1999.
