The 2009 Jeep Grand Cherokee updated the 5.7-liter Hemi V8 with variable valve timing, lifting output to 357 horsepower and 389 lb-ft from the previous 330. The CRD diesel left the United States lineup, while the 210 horsepower 3.7-liter V6 and the 420 horsepower SRT8 continued. It was the next to last WK model year before the 2011 WK2 redesign.
