The 1982 Jeep Wagoneer is a full-size, body-on-frame four-door wagon on the SJ platform introduced for the 1963 model year. It offered the AMC 258 cubic inch (4.2L) inline-six and the AMC 360 cubic inch (5.9L) V8, both paired with a three-speed automatic transmission and Quadra-Trac full-time four-wheel drive standard on the Limited. Sold in Brougham and Limited trims, the 1982 model continued the SJ generation with woodgrain bodyside trim on the Limited. It was a carryover year, with full-size Wagoneer production reaching roughly 18,700 units.
