The 1994 Lincoln Mark VIII was a carryover of the first-generation two-door coupe introduced the prior year, again built on the Ford FN10 platform. It retained the all-aluminum 4.6L DOHC 32-valve V8 rated at 280 net horsepower and 285 lb-ft, paired with the 4R70W four-speed automatic and rear-wheel drive. Standard computer-controlled air suspension continued on the 1994 Mark VIII, with low-speed (under 35 mph) traction control offered as an option.
