Lincoln Mark VIII
1997 Lincoln Mark VIII Specs & Photos
The 1997 Lincoln Mark VIII received a mid-cycle facelift with rounded front and rear fascias, a larger grille, and a full-width neon brake light across the decklid. HID headlamps became standard on every 1997 Mark VIII, and all-speed traction control replaced the earlier low-speed system. The LSC's retuned 4.6L DOHC 32-valve V8 with true dual exhaust made 290 horsepower at 5750 rpm, while the base coupe carried 280, both using the 4R70W four-speed automatic and rear-wheel drive. The door mirrors added ground-illuminating puddle lamps.
