I finally broke down & bought a new LLT module. I paid more than double
Amazon's price to have a local warranty. Mine came with no instructions, so it's good that I already knew it requires a resistor. There are several negative reviews on Amazon describing stalls & no-start shortly after installation, and I suspect they're due to no resistor.
