1909 Ford Model T Touring Car Postcard - Motor No. 904, H. G. Switzer, Coleman TX

This document is a scanned vintage postcard showing a black-and-white photograph of an early Ford Touring Car parked in a grassy field with brush and trees in the background. The car is shown in right-side profile with its folding top erected, brass-era details visible including wooden spoke wheels, side-mounted lamp, exposed steering column and hand levers, running boards, and an open touring body with front and rear bench seats. The only text on the postcard is the caption printed beneath the photograph: "Ford Touring Car, Motor No. 904. Owned by H. G. Switzer, Coleman, Texas." From this document a reader learns that the pictured car is a Ford Touring Car bearing engine (motor) number 904, and that at the time the postcard was produced it was owned by H. G. Switzer of Coleman, Texas. The postcard itself carries no printed date, model-year designation, or manufacturer part numbers. It was uploaded to a gallery for a 1909 Ford Model T, and the extremely low motor number (904) is consistent with a very early production example, though the card itself does not state a year. A companion scan ("904 post card rear.jpg") apparently shows the reverse of this card.
