got the carpet removed. happy to see the floor has no sign of rust despite so many broken bolts for the seats and seatbelts. i did find a bunch of mud inside the plastic trim for the seatbelt retractors, no idea how it gets there or how they were still moving.

afterwards i washed the floor with soap water and a brush to get it as clean and do a basic degreasing
