Opinions and methods vary. Personally I like to fill the cavity between the wheel bearings, inside the hub, with fresh grease. Not so much that it would be disturbed when installing the hub assembly onto the spindle, but a good amount spread around on the depressed area inside the hub between both wheel bearings.
