The first modernizations were a USB power socket & voltmeter in place of the unnecessary cigar lighter, and an autodimming compass rear-view mirror in place of nothing. The voltmeter is always visible because it draws nearly no current, which also means the USB sockets are always on. The mirror is wired to the missing radio's circuit, and to the non-functional reverse lights circuit. I would have wired it to the wiper motor for power, but that wiring is missing (like the wiper arms). I also had to straighten out the (replacement blade-style) fuse block, the dash ground, and the wiper cover.
