This dome/map lamp is common in ~90s~00s Fords, and never seems to show its age. So I fished 3 wires through the cage, screwed a flexible conduit across the floor, and welded up a thin steel box for the lamp to mount under. The map lamps are aimed onto the seats, and an '87-97-style door pin switch allows the driver's door to trigger the dome lamp (in addition to the normal rotation of the headlight switch knob).
