i am using a Lokar universal locking dipstick. it is very long to let me mount the top somewhere easier to get. it threads into the oil pan instead of the block. i jsut had to trim it to right length

i filled the engine to capacity and then measured and trimmed the dipstick at the handle end. pretty simple. i like it alot
