Dark blue full-float rear axle newly U-bolted under leaf springs…

Under-truck view of a heavy full-float rear axle freshly painted dark blue and mounted beneath leaf springs with new U-bolts, a chain still hanging from the housing. The tire is a Cooper Discoverer Radial STT, with a red jack at left and exhaust piping overhead in the garage.

Got the 14 bolt physically mounted to springs. Had to drill out the aftermarket perches with a 5/8 drill, then she went on fairly easily, used a floor jack to lift pumpkin and a bottle jack toraise pinion to proper angle. Put on new u-bolts, mostly because the old ones were such a beeyatch to get off. Need to figure out what brake hose to put on, and get shock mounts on, and figure out what shocks to use. Looks like stockers are about 2 inches too short. Lastly, driveshaft lenght looks OK, but looks like a bigger u-joint needed for the 14-bolt. Not sure if I need to modify driveshaft, or find a special u-joint, or what. But it's coming together!
