This is just after I switched the cable from the DVD-ROM to the DVD-RW-DL & burned a TY 8x-R from a HD image. I've never had any trouble before, but this time, the buffer level of the drive was bouncing, and it seemed a LOT slower than an 8x burn should be. A bounce cycle took ~4sec, and it continued throughout the burn, but it verified OK & plays fine.

I had set both IDEs to DMA if available, but it somehow switched itself to PIO Only, apparently when I swapped drives. I didn't know until after the burn was finished because the CPU was at 100% load (with irregular & infrequent spikes to 0%) and Device Mgr. wouldn't open during the burn.
