Here is the stock regulator next to the 86 F150 regulator. Originally, I was going to shorten the newer regulator to match the stock one but then I realized that the later door is about the same size as is the later window so I decided to try and use it as is. The really important part of doing this is being sure the new regulator is in the down position and then installing it with the window in the right spot for the fully lowered position and then figuring out where to drill the holes so that the regulator is in the right spot.
