Looking down in the end of the cut out tube adapter you can see…

Looking down in the end of the cut out tube adapter you can see that it was only threaded in a half inch of so. We couldn't unscrew this thing with wrenches on four foot cheater bars, which is why we were forced to saw off the end in the first place. Pretty unbelievable that a half inch of galled thread could take that much torque and not move.
