Of course, just when you need something.... The heat goes on the coldest day so far this year. I figure it's one of two things...heater core or thermostat. Now, I remember when I was a kid and the core went in Pop's car. The bill was huge, and the cursing major. In college, the estimate for my 68 mustang was like 8 bills (keyword: college...I froze my ass off for 2 years). So the cursing was major when the bronco's core went. But I was pleasently surprised when I read doing the bronco was a piece of cake. And it is...so I started there. Take off the glove box door and there's the core behind the black plastic cover. Take the bolts off - 6 or so. Before you yank the cover off...see my ratchet? Look straight up at the baby blue plastic piece and the line running to it from the right. That line has to come off first before the cover comes off.
