hole going through. 3" PVC pipe has a OD of 3.5". used a jigsaw to cut a rough hole then used a dremel to make it smooth and exact. That is a 3" PVC Street 90* bend (Street mean it has a male end one one side and felame on the other. the male end goes through the hole). Used a band clamp and drilled a hole though it and thebody to use a small bolt and nut to hold it. the extra fitting is jsut a coupling where i had to repair it when a tree broke the snorkel
