The 2006 Toyota Tundra closed out the first generation with no mechanical changes to the 4.0-liter V6 or 4.7-liter i-Force V8. Published ratings dropped to 236 and 271 horsepower because Toyota adopted the revised SAE J1349 test procedure, not because the engines changed. Regular Cab, Access Cab, and Double Cab bodies all continued for the final year before the all-new 2007 truck.
