The 2007 Toyota Tundra launched the second generation, a substantially larger truck centered on Toyota's new San Antonio, Texas plant. Regular Cab, Double Cab, and the new CrewMax paired with three engines: a 236-horsepower 4.0-liter V6, a 271-horsepower 4.7-liter V8, and the new 381-horsepower 5.7-liter 3UR-FE V8 with 401 lb-ft and a six-speed automatic. Properly equipped 5.7 trucks were rated to tow up to 10,800 pounds.
