tgtorquerodremv.jpg Torsion Bar Removal & Installation

The tailgate must be misaligned or removed to get the torsion bar in or out.  The foam sleeve also has to come off the inside end for the rod to come out of the hole, and there are 2 clamp brackets (430A32, available from Dennis Carpenter as [url=https://www.dennis-carpenter.com/en/trucks/tailgate-amp-liftgate/tailgates/d8tz-98430a30-a-tg-counter-balance-torsion-bar]98430A30[/url]) bolted to the bottom that must be removed.
