I moved the main block ground from the stock location on the RHF engine mount stud to the starter upper bolt, since it provides less resistance to the starter, and effectively the same to the alternator. An aux. ground wire (from the aux.battery and another frame ground) is also attached there, providing an all-Copper path between the battery negatives. Since I'm still using an old (pre~'92) swinging-pole-shoe starter, it only has a heavy positive cable (no voltage except during cranking).
