The story
Ordered vehicle on October 15, 1987 to have it the way I wanted. Took delivery about 7 weeks later on December 10, 1987. Eddie Bauer, Black/Tan Exterior, Chestut Cloth Interior. Drove the living daylights out of vehicle. Has just about 300,000 miles on the original engine and tranny. Blew out the rear in 1992 when I moved. I pulled by a U-haul that was over the limit which I drove from NJ to FL. This vehicle is a beast. You could not pay me enough to sell this vehicle. Everything is in pretty good shape, considering the vehicle is 15 years old. Although last week I started to hear a clicking sound from the rear when I back up. I think something is wrong with the axle. I am thinking about a redoing the vehicle totally and customizing it with lots of goodies. · David G. Jacobs
