1987 Buick Regal Specs & Photos
The 1987 Buick Regal was the final year of the rear-wheel-drive GM G-body, sold as a two-door coupe before the front-wheel-drive W-body replaced it for 1988. Base coupes used a naturally aspirated 231 cubic inch (3.8L) V6, while the Grand National and Turbo T ran a turbocharged and intercooled 3.8L V6 rated at 245 net horsepower and 355 lb-ft, driving a 200-4R four-speed automatic. For 1987 only, Buick built 547 GNX models, converted by ASC/McLaren, with the same 3.8L turbo V6 conservatively rated at 276 hp and 360 lb-ft.
