The 2000 Ford Crown Victoria carried over the 1998 chassis update and the 4.6L SOHC modular V8, rated 200 horsepower with single exhaust and 215 horsepower with the dual-exhaust high-output tune. It used the 4R70W four-speed automatic on the rear-wheel-drive, body-on-frame Panther platform with recirculating-ball steering and the Watt's-linkage rear suspension.
