The 1990 Ford Escort closed out the first-generation US car in a shortened model year, with the redesigned 1991 model reaching dealers in the spring of 1990. Content was carryover from 1989, including the 1.9L CVH four and the 110 hp (net) GT. It was the last Escort built on the Erika platform introduced for 1981.
