Ford F-150
1996 Ford F-150 Specs & Photos
The 1996 Ford F-150 was the last model year of the ninth generation and the final year for the 300-cubic-inch (4.9L) inline-six, which had served as the base F-150 engine since the nameplate's 1975 debut. The 5.0L and 5.8L V8s remained optional. The 1996 F-150 4x4 used the Twin-Traction Beam independent front suspension on a Dana 44 for the last time, before the 1997 redesign replaced it with an 8.8-inch independent front suspension and the modular V8s replaced the pushrod engines.
The 1996 Ford F-150 is part of the OBS F-150 (1992-1996) generation (1992–1996). See the full Ford F-150 1992–1996 registry →
