1977 Ford Pinto Specs & Photos
The 1977 Ford Pinto received its first major restyle, with slanted-back urethane headlamp buckets and a revised sloping grille. This year also introduced the Cruising Wagon, a sedan-delivery version with round porthole side windows and optional vinyl graphics, sold alongside the two-door sedan, three-door Runabout hatchback, and station wagon. The standard engine was the 2.3 L (140 cu in) Lima overhead-cam inline-four, with the 2.8 L (171 cu in) Cologne V6 optional. A four-speed manual was standard with a three-speed automatic optional.
