1997 Ford Probe Specs & Photos

The 1997 Ford Probe was the final model year of the front-wheel-drive coupe. It continued the second-generation base car and GT on the Mazda GE platform, with the Mazda FS 2.0-liter four (118 hp, 127 lb-ft) in the base car and the Mazda KL 2.5-liter V6 (164 hp, 160 lb-ft) in the GT. Ford ended Probe production after 1997, and the coupe was not replaced by a like-for-like Ford model. The 1997 Probe was built at Flat Rock, Michigan.
