The 2000 GMC Jimmy was the compact SUV on GM's GMT330 platform, the second-generation compact Jimmy introduced for 1995 and shared with the Chevrolet S-10 Blazer and Oldsmobile Bravada. 2000 was a mid-generation carryover year powered by the 4.3L (262 cu in) Vortec V6 driving the rear or all four wheels through a four-speed automatic. It was offered in two-door and four-door body styles; the upscale four-door variant had spun off as the GMC Envoy for 1998. By this point the Jimmy name applied only to this compact model.
