The 1997 Mazda Miata was the final NA model year in the United States, as Mazda skipped 1998 ahead of the redesigned NB. The 133 horsepower 1.8-liter carried over, and the generation closed with two limited runs: the M Edition in Marina Green and the Twilight Blue STO, short for Special Touring Option, limited to 1,500 cars.
