1957-59 Ford Skyliner Retractable Space Saver Luggage - Rare Factory Option

This is a laminated single-page display sheet (car show placard style) titled "Space Saver Luggage," describing it as "the rarest option available for 1957-59 Ford Skyliner Retractable." The page consists almost entirely of photographs rather than text. The main photo shows the white Space Saver luggage carrier fitted with two tan suitcases installed inside the rear compartment of a Ford Skyliner Retractable (the area occupied by the retracting hardtop mechanism). Three smaller photos along the bottom show: a cloth product label embroidered "Space Saver Luggage: Skyliner," an open suitcase revealing its lined interior with retaining straps, and the complete set of three tan fitted suitcases. The document itself is photographed resting on top of actual examples of the tan Space Saver luggage pieces, with a background tag reading "ROOF RETRACTED." A reader learns that Ford offered a rare fitted luggage option for the 1957-1959 Skyliner Retractable, what the luggage and its carrier look like, how it fits in the car's storage area, and what the original product label looks like. No part numbers, prices, or specifications are given.
