1/2" plywood lid installed, seems plenty strong to kneel or stand on. Front/center latch hanging in place but not yet tied in; could technically make it a lock box if the lid were made more rigid.

I had to flip the Hi-Lift jack around so the climbing pin didn't interfere with the lid. It seemed fine in test fitting, but I installed the lid while the box was in the vehicle, so maybe it didn't end up quite as straight...
