Photo collage of disassembled engines, parts and a black Ford Br…

After a carb failure ruined the original re-rebuilt 300ci engine, I tossed it all and dropped in a '95 4.9L that I found in a Eunice junkyard with stuck-shut injectors & all the accessory brackets shattered by the collision. The tank & fuel lines came from a '96B between Silsbee & Kountze, TX. Shortly thereafter, I rolled it & replaced the body with an '82 tub from Carlyss, LA, which I got painted black & tan, and drove that for a few decades until it started coming apart at the seams. Then I bought a '93B XLT with a blown 5.8L, stripped both Broncos down to nothing, painted the body myself in the same black & tan to look like an Eddie Bauer, and put it back together will all the best parts from each. I still drive it, never having rebuilt the engine, which now has well over a million actual miles.
