Now that all the green corrosion's gone I'll seal up the back end of the connection with some silicone. With a 19 year old plug you can expect some of the female pins to be loose in the plug, silicone will help to secure them too. It was water dripping down the wires into the back of the plug that started the corrosion so this should prevent it this time.
